Eugenia Place faces English Bay in Vancouver's West End. At the front of the building there is cylindrical form (sunrooms for the condominiums above) in glass and concrete, which tapers to the main entrance on Beach Avenue. The purpose of this screw-like feature is to provide a dish for, and metaphorically explain the presence of, a single pin oak tree planted on the roof of the tower.

The dish-like planter that supports this tree contains 100,000 pounds of earth, resulting in a conical expression resembling the head of the screw. The crown of this elevated tree is at the same height as the great cedars and Douglas firs that once stood on the site.

The lower floors, for example, are carved out within the structural frame, enabling residents in buildings behind to maintain portion of their water views. The sixteen condominium apartment in Eugenia Place are also planned to take advantage of the spectacular views west towards Vancouver Island.
